In January 2024, Checkatrade embarked on a transformation journey to modernize thier platform to provide a better customer experience for both consumers and tradespeople. As a result of this ambitious plan, the board decided to improve the overall engineering function to enhance performance and overall user experience. Due to high business demand, they needed to partner with a staff augmentation partner who had a strong European network to supplement their internal efforts. That's when they reached out to Evantis Technology.
The Solution
Checkatrade engaged with Evantis to augment their existing teams and provide entire teams dedicated to specific, standalone projects. Evantis leveraged its European network to provide 20 consultants to Checkatrade across multiple projects, including:

Due to the quality of our network and our agility, we saved Checkatrade 25% compared to their previous partner and reduced onboarding time from two weeks to 72 hours. Evantis conducted 100% of the screening for each consultant, with Checkatrade conducting a brief 15- minute introductory meeting related to the project before engagement. As part of the Evantis solution, Checkatrade had the option to convert any Evantis consultant to a full-time Checkatrade employees after 9 months.
The Results
- Evantis was brought on board to supply Checkatrade with 20 consultants within 8 months.
- All 20 consultants were hand picked by Evantis from our EU network outside the UK.
- Checkatrade drastically reduced their dependency on legacy partners and now has a more productive and efficient engineering function at a lower cost.
